रायता!

जिसने भी करा है,
कतई घटिया डिश ईजाद करा है,
जब देखो तब फैल जाता है,
रायता ये रायता!

दिन रात ये फैलता है,
और दिन रात इसको समेटना पड़ता है,
जब तक यहाँ का समेटो,
तब तक कहीं और फैल जाता है,
रायता ये रायता!

कौन समेटेगा इसको?
क्या आपको पता है?
जिसने ये फैलाया है,
उसको ना खबर है, ना हवा है!
रायता ये रायता!

कभी हमसे भी ग़लती हो जाती है,
और फैल जाता है,
रायता ये रायता!
कोई समेटता होगा हमारे पीछे भी
रायता ये रायता!

हम सभी एक जुट हो जाना चाहिए,
इस विश्व की भलाई में,
और साथ मिलकर हम कोशिश करते है
की ना फैले ये रायता!

The Punching Bag!

The angst within you
You always lay on me!
In your anger and clinched fists,
The beating is all I get!

In between the melancholy of your emotions and the clenched jaw
If I am lucky, I get angry stares!
But if I am not,
Oh! the bruises on my body!

The enraged hormones that course your body,
And the fuming tongue that spews venom at me!
The tongue I can handle,
Oh not the rapping through punches and kicks!

But at times when I am alone,
Hanging by a hook, in the dark,
I think that thank god
That its just me
An unmoving, impassive Punching bag!
Who has to carry your anger!

One he took a long drag from the cigarette,
The smoke laughed at the other end of it!

Two she used two many beauty products,
Now languishes in the oncology ward!

Three he never paid any attention in school,
Today he is struggling for a livelihood!

Four she trusted a stranger in social media,
The results are too ghastly to speak off!

Five he loved his gadgets like crazy,
Now his body runs on artificial dialysis!

Six she was quick to anger,
He left and she regrets the words she spoke!

Seven he was drunk and yet he took the wheel,
Someone on the sidewalk paid the price!

Eight she laughed at other's misery,
Karma made her a laughing stock!

Nine they never bothered about using precautions,
They now battle an army of seven!

Demons Inside!

They grab at me from within,
They laugh at my failures,
They belittle my success,
In success and in failure...
They are my demons!

They throw hurdles in my way,
They litter my path...
With stones and thorns,
They rip of my shoes,
Then they say please walk
In running and stumbling and falling...
They are my demons!

They give me day scares,
They give me nightmares,
In dreams and in wakefulness...
They are my demons

Its the same hell every day,
But different are my demons!
The demons inside of me!

आदमी...

आश्रय देने पर सिरपर चढ़ता है।
उपदेश देने पर मुड़कर बैठता है ।
आदर करने पर खुशामद समझता है।

उपकार करने पर अस्वीकार करता है।
विश्वास करने पर हानि पहुंचता है।
क्षमा करने पर दुर्बल समझता है।
प्यार करने पर आघात करता है।

क्या यह चरित्र उचित है ?

Takes for granted the haven offered to him...
Shows his back to knowledge being given...
Considers respect as flattery...
Rejects the kindness shown to him...
Breaks the trust...
Considers forgiveness as weakness...

दीप तुम जलते रहो,

अन्धियारे को खलते रहो |

हम तुम्हारी रोशनी को,

हर पल संजोएंगे |

अनजानों को दोस्त बनाऊं।

नीले गगन को गले लगाऊं।

इक घूँट भर पानी पी लूँ,
या दरिया सा प्यासा रह जाऊं।
कम्बल ओड मैं सो जाऊं
कुछ सपने और मैं बुन लूँ।

कठिन पहेलियों को बूझूँ,

अपने आप में शरमाऊँ,

पराए!

हर दम हर पल
करूँ मैं उन्हें सुशोभित...
कंकड़, पत्थरों, काँटों से

हर तरह के मल से
करूँ में उनकी सुरक्षा...

फिर भी पूजा के दिन क्यूँ में
रहूं घर के बाहर?
मंदिर के भीतर
क्यूँ ना करूँ में दर्शन?
कोमल तुम्हारे इन चरणों से
हर महत्वपुर्णा क्षण में क्यूँ रहूं मैं नदारद!
चरण ये तुम्हारे हैं अपने
और हम हो जाते हैं पराए!

पराए तुम्हारे जूते!

I am become Death!

My frustrations boil over but still I laugh...
The world around laughs with me...
And I am not saying that they just smile...
They roll on the floor laughing...
And in the fit of laughter...
I think that they are just gonna die...
And in the insanity of this laughter
I think am I become Death?

My head pounds,
My jaw's clenched,
Gulp after gulp, glass after glass
I pour it down, and in it...
The bacteria of my stomach drown,
And in this downing and drowning...
I think am I become Death?

I am out in the woods...
I see a deer...obviously oblivious...
To my presence...
The long snout is poking at it in the distance
And click it goes...the shutter
Click click click... And a few more!
I look at the screen and then realize
It was the clip and not the shutter...
And in this clicking and the messy red handiwork
I think am I become death?

I am reasonable but delirious,
Unhinged yet balanced,
Rational Yet Crazed,
And in this deviant soundness and normal aberrance,
I think that finally
I am become Death!

Hysterical Blindness!

We all are stuck in this blindness...
Of Hindu and Muslim,
Of Christian and Jew
Of Jain and Sikh
The essence of being human is all but lost!

We all are stuck in this blindness...
Of Tamil and Kannada
Of Bihari and Marathi
Of Hindi and Urdu
The essence of expression is all but lost!

We all are stuck in this blindness...
Of faith and religion
Of states and region
Of language and tongues
The essence of spirituality is all but lost!

The essence of us is all but lost!

The kindness of strangers has thus become...
a rare commodity...
We are driven by this hysterical blindness...
We are driven by our own personal agenda...
And our leaders(so called) are pushing us Further apart!

Why? Disturb a Beast!

The beast is very reasonable, 

And mostly hates conflict, 

And currently the beast, 

Is in a deep slumber! 

Some people are always keen, 

To the disturb the peace, 

Currently the beast has, Within! 

Till when the beast will suffer, 

Is the question in question! 

The brink of patience, 

Is a sight very near! 

The beast has risen, 

From its slumber, 

It roars, 

It smiles a cunning smile, 

Its mane is reverberating!  

The anger is from its eyes 

Is seething! 

People don't realize that, 

Disturbing a beast can cost them dearly! 

Dreadful will be the day, 

When they see the Beast Incarnate! 

Because the World will tell you otherwise!

That is what's weird with this world,

Because it will always tell you otherwise!

Never let go of your passions,

And keep them close to heart, 

Give it space whenever time permits,  

Though it may never earn you money, 

And it may seem like a waste to others,

Because they don't see the satisfaction immeasurable, 

So never let go of your passions,

I am telling you this,

Be ready to apologise for your mistakes,

Always be grateful for the help you get, 

Especially to your friends, 

The world will always say friendship Mein no sorry no thank you, 

But be apologetic & thankful whenever it is appropriate,

Be on your toes to tell people, 

That you love them... Dearly and more, 

Especially to your family,

More Often and much more...

Give a tight hug, a light kiss, a little PDA,

भेड़ चाल!

इस ठंड में सुबह सुबह,
भेड़ चाल में चले जा रहे हैं,
लोग कहते हैं की हम ज़िंदगी बना रहे हैं|

अपनों को हमने पीछे छोड़ दिया है,
जिंदगी की जंग इसलिए अकेले ही लड़े जा रहे हैं|

पैसे से अमीर हैं हम,
पर अपना ज़मीर बेचे जा रहे हैं|

रूबरू बातचीत आजकल कौन ही करता है,
सारे के सारे व्हाट्स एप/फ़ेसबुक पर फॉर्वर्ड किए जा रहे हैं|

सेहत पर ध्यान नहीं है, एक्सर्साइज़ का टाइम नहीं है,
फास्ट फुड का गटर अपने पेट को बनाए जा रहे हैं|

खाने में आजकल लुत्फ़ नहीं लेते हैं,
बस सूखी ब्रेड कोला के साथ गटके जा रहे हैं|

हमसफ़र को तवजो नहीं देते हैं,
बुध्धू बक्से में घुसे जा रहे हैं|

इस ठंड में सुबह सुबह,
भेड़ चाल में चले जा रहे हैं,
लोग कहते हैं की हम ज़िंदगी बना रहे हैं!

विपत्तियों का पहाड़!

विपत्तियों के इस पहाड़ का क्या किया जाए,
ये सवाल सभी के मन में,
कभी न कभी कुलबुलाहट ज़रूर मचाता है,
एक असमनजस की स्थिति बनाता है,
की
विपत्तियों के इस पहाड़ का अाखिर किया क्या जाए?

अनुभवी लोगों की एसी अवस्था मैं कई राय होती हैं
धैर्य बनाए रखें एसी सीख कई लोग देते हैं
पर सलाह देने के पहले ये नहीं सोचते हैं कि
जो इनसान पतलून गीली करने की कगार पर खड़ा हो
वो अाखिर धैर्य कैसे बनाए रखे?

किंतु मैं भी यही कहूंगा की,
धैर्य बनाए रखें
एसा करने के दो मुख्य कारण ये हैं कि ,
एक तो ये कुछ समय में ये कठिनाई के बादल छट जाएंगे,
अौर दूसरा यह कि अाप गीली पतलून वाले हास्य पात्र बनने से बच जाएंगे।

हास्य पात्र से याद अाया कि
अाजकल पीड़ा का ढिंढोरा पीटना एक शैली बन गया है,
कुछ खुद से अौर कुछ समाचार माध्यमों से,
इस बात से खुद को दूर रहने दें,
क्योंकि ज़्यादातन लोग अापकी पीड़ा का लुत्फ़ उठाएंगे,
अौर जो बाकी हैं वे अापको सान्त्वना देंगे
किंतु अनजाने में ही सही अापके ज़ख्मों पर नमक मल जाएंगे
इसलिए ढिंढोरा कतई न पीटें एवं खुद को अौर पीड़ा से बचाएं
अौर हाँ धैर्य बनाए रखें।

विपत्तियों के इस पहाड़ पर अाप विजय प्राप्त कर लेंगे
क्योंकि
पृथ्वी घूमती रहती है
रात ढलेगी अौर सुबह हो जाएगी
मौसम बदलते रहते हैं
बादलों के बरसने के बाद ही बहार अाएगी
समय का चक्र चलता रहता है
अापकी यह परिस्थिति
या तो खत्म होगी
या पीड़ीयों के लिए सीख बन जाएगी ।
